Shine On Award

The Shine On Award Rules:

1. Link back to the blogger who nominated you.
2. Post the badge on your blog. It’s pretty. Do it.
3. Answer the questions posed to you. Regardless of how out-of-left-field they may be.
4. Nominate five bloggers who shine a little light in your day and be sure to notify them.
5. Issue some questions you’d like them to answer.

1. Thank you Shena, AlyiannaEdessa and Misty!!! (oh my, I'll be answering questions for a while!)

2. Done! Very pretty.

4. No wait a minute...3. Questions

Shena's:

- If I was going to co-star with your favorite actor, what would you want our character's connection to be(as in family, friends, etc,)?
Not sure if I have one favorite actor, but they're mostly adults so maybe their daughter.

- If you could travel with any of the Doctors, which one would you choose?
10, subject to change once I see 11, but likely 10. He's been giving me a lot of feels lately. But some things are worth getting your broken heart for. :')

- Would you rather live in a science fiction world or a fantasy world?
Probably fantasy world, because Middle-Earth, but I'd consider sci-fi too.

- If you could be an Avenger, which would you choose to be?
Spiderman - I work alone. Ok kidding, maybe Captain America (good guy and from the 40s!).

- Who are your top 10 Jedi characters?
Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Anakin, Luke, Ahsoka, ummm...Yoda, Bant, Garen, Siri, Anakin Solo?

- What are some stories you wish you could have made up?
Once Upon a Time - sounds like the kind of thing I might think of, except more brilliant.

- If you were going to be in a film, what kind of weapon would you want your character to have?
A lightsaber would be awesome. But it would be cool to out think enemies too.

- Of your favorite fictional characters, who would you want for your best friend(if you want, you can pick one from each of your fandoms)?
Basically my favorite character from each fandom...Sam from LotR would make a great friend.

- What are your top two fandoms and why are they your favorite?
LotR and Star Wars - LotR is something I can always come back to and has an amazing world that feels like a home away from home, and Star Wars has an awesome fanbase and a huge universe.

Alyianna's:

1. Who are your five favourite authors and why?
J.R.R. Tolkien because he has made my life better in many ways through LotR. Jude Watson because she really pulled me into Star Wars, the Jedi, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and somewhat influenced my writing style. Amy Welborn, who wrote some great books for Catholic teens. Can I say St. John? He wrote a pretty great gospel. And Christian M. Frank (pen name for multiple people) for writing the John Paul II High series and being awesome guys. I'm probably missing a bunch of authors...

2. If you had one day left to live, what would you do?
Go to Mass and receive the sacraments would be the most important thing. I guess spend the rest of the day with family/friends? Maybe read/watch LotR one more time.

3. What are your top twenty favourite foods?
20?! Pasta, pizza, hamburgers...make that several variations of pasta and we'll get to 20 eventually.

4. Which of these would you rather do?
- save the world with Percy Jackson
- spend a day riding horses and shooting targets with Merida (that red-headed princess in Brave)
- travel Middle Earth with Gandalf (you're not going to spend much time in any place, though)
Travel Middle-Earth with Gandalf. Though hanging out in Scotland would not be objectionable to me at all.

5. Which of these would you rather do?
- work in the house with Cinderella but get to go the ball with her and end up marrying Cinderella's prince's brother
- time travel with the Doctor (I haven't watched that show...yet.)
- spend a day at home alone getting to do whatever you want to do
They all sound nice...I've had time alone before and while another day would be ok, I'll say no to that (plus I was reminded earlier how when I'm alone there are all these strange sounds...). A good marriage could be nice...but right now I want to travel with the doctor. My poor lonely doctor!

Edessa's:

1.  What is your least favorite movie/TV show ever?
Boohbah. Never saw it but it looked so weird. Weirder than Teletubbies, which I kind of liked.

2.  Dark, Milk, or White chocolate?
Milk
3.  What do you think of Valentine's Day?
I used to like it a lot when I was little, but now being older it's more focused on relationships it seems, so, I don't know, maybe I'll get into it again when/if I have someone? I'm ok with it though.
4.  If you were stuck on a desert island in the middle of nowhere, would you rather be stuck with Jar Jar Binks or a hungry Ewok?
Jar Jar...I think. I do like him, but it would be hard to work on getting us rescued if he was scared and crazy.
5.  What was the last book you read?  Did you like it?
Not sure...my literature book, sure, but maybe Ace Attorney: Investigations manga. I have enjoyed both. Except a few lit stories...
6.  What has God been teaching you this year (so far)?
Ooh, you have good questions. Um, this year...a couple things I can think of - one is a continuing theme of trust, where I'm really worried about something and God brings me through it. Then just how great and important it is to try to be a good person. But God help me!

Misty's:

1: What is your favorite anime?
Fruits Basket! Of course, I've only ever seen that, Tari Tari, and a bit of Naruto, but I loved it!

2: Do you like to draw at all?
Yes...it comes and goes...I'm not all that good but it's fun sometimes. I love drawing Professor Layton characters.

3: Can you write fanfiction? Or have you read a really good one? If so, what is the title and fandom?
Sort of...I can write fanfiction but write it well? Ehh...maybe once in a great while. YES read some really good ones. I mostly read fan fiction for Professor Layton and Ace Attorney, and my favorites are Knights and Knaves and Atroquinine Merlot, respectively.

4: Do you know what show the character in the picture above is from?
If I were to guess I'd say it's Sailor Moon because of the hair, but I don't know for sure.

5: Favorite song?
At the moment...Doctor Who the Musical (if you're a fan WATCH THIS)

6: Out of the classics of our generation, what is your favorite?
Not sure...I'd consider Harry Potter in that category but I haven't read it yet...LotR? The movies at least. Hopefully they last a long time.

7: What are your favorite blogs?
My friend's blogs. And The Arglefumph Blog. And probably a bunch more I'm not thinking of.

8: What is your favorite genre?
Maybe mystery.

9: Do you like playing video games?
YES. PL and AA which, sorry readers who have no interest in them, I am still not over those series. And Mario! Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Wii Sports and similar games...Animal Crossing, Rhythm Thief, Lego Star Wars, oh yes many games...

10: What are your favorite pairings?
Layton/Claire (PL), Gumshoe/Maggey, and maybe Phoenix/Maya (AA), Faramir/Eowyn and Sam/Rosie (LotR). I'm good with most canon pairings out there.

11: Out of all your shows, what are your favorite characters?
Cutting out The Clone Wars because those are just my favorite SW characters, The Doctor, Mary Margret and many others from Once Upon a Time, and...I guess right now really the Doctor.

12: Do/have you have/had a fictional crush? >:D
Never. *lie detector goes off* Ok fine yes. Some when I was younger, then Obi-Wan, and Miles Edgeworth (AA again). There. But not really any at the moment!

There, done!

4. I nominate...um...who hasn't gotten this yet? Asala who has an awesome, fairly active blog and I don't think I saw her on anyone's list...Hey if you're still with me while my blogging is in and out and haven't gotten it, consider yourself nominated!

And 5, very important 5. Questions for you to answer!

1. What are your favorite boy and girl names?
2. What was your favorite book or TV show when you were little?
3. How do you like to relax?
4. Do you prefer straight plays or musicals?
5. Would you rather travel forward in time or backward?
6. Do you have a favorite quote or motto?

Thanks for reading if you made it down here! Have a great weekend!

I'd want to travel with 10 too(and 9, of course)! :D Though, as a companion, I'd be more like Donna and just be they're friend.
Those are a lot of my favorite Jedi too:)
I agree, Boohbah is super weird. Accidentally saw part of it once and it was just..yikes.
I used to have a crush on Obi-Wan when I was younger too! :) But then you probably already knew that XD :D.

    2. You're very welcome! :) Yeah I do, he is cool and so sweet.

You haven't read Harry Potter? I suggest you don't because my mom says it's prohibited for us Catholics because it has real spells and I want your soul to be safe. :D

    3. I have to disagree with you there - I've heard enough about it that I'm guessing it's only bad if you take it the wrong way, otherwise it's a battle between good and evil which is a good theme. A couple trusted Catholic friends/families I know (and several I've heard of) are ok with it as well. One thing I just remembered, someone suggested following it up with a good Catholic resource on it, so that would help too. But thank you - it's not every day that someone goes out of their way to look out for your soul! The "spiritual" and "secular" parts of our lives (that's not quite it but I don't know how to explain it) are connected and affect each other, so yeah, looking out for this kind of thing is important. :)
