Whatever Snow Does in Summer

Awards/tags! Two that go together rather well in the context of a Frozen song.

Rules:
* Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
* Answer the questions they asked you.
* Nominate other bloggers.
* Give them a list of questions.
* Let them know that they have been nominated.
* The Sunshine Award button must be on your blog post.

Thank you Alyianna and Vellvin!

Alyianna:
1. Do you know that you are a very lovely person? :) (Yes, you are!)
Why thank you, so are you! :)

2. Which of these would you rather do: be the Doctor's companion, solve crimes with Sherlock, or get married to one of the characters from the Enchanted Forest (pretend that they're not married off already :P)?
Um um um not marry a character from the Enchanted Forest but between the others...being Sherlock's Molly would be cool but I love the Doctor too... I think solve crimes with Sherlock. But I'm really unsure about that at the moment.

3. What song do you listen to that you're embarrassed to admit? (Come on, we all have one or two. :P)
Can't think of one, but if I had one I probably wouldn't mention it. :P

4. Where is the nearest fire hydrant to your house?
Down the street a ways. Didn't really notice until you asked!

5. What book are you reading at the moment?
Mansfield Park by Jane Austin

6. What is your craziest dream? Aim high!
Being the Doctor's companion or solving crimes with Sherlock.

Vellvin:

1. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Meeting people and having a way to write and be creative in a format I'm fairly comfortable with.

2. What type of music do you enjoy listening to? i.e. pop, rock, electronic ect.
Soundtrack/musical/jazz and related genres.

3. Best line from The Princess Bride? (I'm assuming you've all seen it)
Probably "You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this"

4. Are you more of a reader or a watcher. Books vs. Movies?
Books. I like movies but they can be a significant investment of time whereas books you can read as much or as little as you want. And I just feel weird/tired/in another world after movies and that can happen with books as well but not as much.

5. If you could meet up with one of your favourtie characters from a book you've read who would it be?
Don't do this to me. I'm thinking Sam Gamgee or John Watson but it's hard to say!

6. Marvelite or Ringer?
Ringer (or Tolkienite is cool too!) - Marvel is great, but Middle-Earth is home. :)

7. On average how much quoting do you use on a day to day basis? i.e. quotes from movies that just fit the situation.
I would say that I don't quote things much...

So basically a lot.

Another tag from Alyianna - this is so cute!

The rules are as follows...

1. Follow the blog that tagged you (optional).
2. Include two or more pictures that include your favorite characters, books, movies, or lyrics from songs (they can also be your own edits or pictures).
3. Tag five or more bloggers and tell them.
4. Answer the blogger’s ten questions related to characters, books, movies, or lyrics.
5. Create your own questions having to do with the same thing.

Here are a couple pictures I found recently:

MissMeggsie of DA
Season 8 will be interesting

1. Would you rather be hunted down by Jean Valjean or the Nazgul?
Definitely Valjean. I'd even take Javert. Nazgul are cool but creepy. And I'd rather be dead than undead and working for Sauron.

2. Lumiere or Cogsworth?
Mmm tough one...I do like Lumiere.

3. Which book has been made into a movie but you think it would be better as a TV show?
Someone said Harry Potter could make a cool TV series and it could flesh it out a lot more, and I think that could be good.

4. And vice versa (TV show, better as a movie)?
Some episodes of The Clone Wars could have maybe worked better as movies, or at least 45 minute episodes. Star Wars is a big story and 22 minutes isn't a whole lot of time for some things. :)

5. What is one scene from a book that you were extremely disappointed didn't show up in its movie adaptation?
The Scouring of the Shire in Return of the King. It makes sense that they didn't include it but it's one of my favorite parts of the book.

6. The age old question - books or movies?
Answered above because great minds think alike!

I will tag...
Shena of Pens, Thespians, and Words
Zenta of A Semi-classical Training
Shaak Ti of The Artist Alchemist
And Alyianna and Vellvin if you want to again!

Pick one (or both) of the tags above and add these questions:

1. Do you listen to any podcasts?
2. At what point did you know you were into your main fandom(s)?
3. What are you currently reading and/or watching?
4. Writing in books - yes or no?
5. Who is the funniest character you like?
6. What is your favorite soundtrack?
7. Do you like to reread/rewatch things?
8. What character inspires you the most?
9. What is a smaller or lesser-known fandom you think is great?
10. What movies are you still looking forward to this year?

Thanks again girls!

...I don't know how to end this post.

A Few Items of Business

Hey everyone! I have a new poll on the side bar, if you would all check it out. I've been having some trouble thinking up blog posts lately, and I'd love your input! Comment here if you have anything to add.

Next, a few bloggers awarded me!

1. Thank the person who nominated you and give the link.
Thank you Shena at Pens, Thespians, and Words and Edessa at Holonet Entertainment Daily!

2. Tell us how the idea of making a blog popped into your head and why you continue it.
Hmm...I can't remember exactly, but it could have been when I started reading The Catholic Jedi Academy. Eventually I read blogs by other Star Wars fangirls which also influenced me. I continue it because it's been really great to have a creative outlet and find that some like my writing, not to mention that I get to meet and talk to a bunch of awesome people!

3. Describe a usual day of your life.
For my previous school year, wake up, check a few websites, get ready for the day, force myself to start school, I may practice some music before or after dinner, shower in the evening, pray the rosary with my family, hang out together, then go on the computer for a while before finally getting myself to bed. Summer is similar but without the school.

4. The best collaboration with a blogger(s).
I did a guest post a while ago which was fun!

5. Worst collaboration with a blogger(s):
None.

6. Explain what having this blog means to you.
Basically number 2, being able to write fun things and share them with others. And you all have been such nice followers and I greatly appreciate your comments and for sticking with me in my inactivity.

7. Nominate 5 followers for this award.

Jedigal1990 at A Jedi and a Mouse
Vellvin at An Irish Maiden
And if you follow me and haven't gotten this yet, I give it to you!

Thank you to Helen at The Life of a Musician and Dancer and Solace at Prophets of the Force!

Now I must say seven random things about myself...

1. I almost always play as Yoshi in Mario Kart.
2. School supplies will almost always slow my stride when I spot them at a store - must look!
3. Typing fast is fun for me.
4. I like listening to a cappella music.
5. My room has blue walls.
6. I used to listen to Hannah Montana music a lot.
7. Someday I want to perform in Annie.

I give this to...

Jedigal1990 at A Jedi and a Mouse
Edessa at HoloNet Entertainment Daily
Vellvin at An Irish Maiden
Shena at Pens, Thespians, and Words

And finally, Alyianna at Scribbles of a Catholic Teen sent me the 11 tag again! I'm not going to do the whole thing since it took me forever last time, but here are her questions:

1. What do you think makes a (a question for the guys) girl beautiful or a (a question for the girls) guy...errm...attractive?
Hmm...I'm attracted to humor, kindness, friendliness, and shared interests. As for looks...depends.

2. What is your favourite type of flower?
I like sunflowers and the tiny white flowers that are often arranged with roses.

3. Who is your favourite character of all time?
I think I'd have to say Obi-Wan here. It could be Sam Gamgee, though.

4. What are you listening to right now? (Doesn't have to be music if you're not listening to that.)
My brother and the Wii.

5. What is/are your pet peeve(s)?
I know I had a specific one at one point, but I honestly can't remember. One thing I guess is music or videos playing automatically on a website and scaring me out of my wits. Especially when the computer volume is high. And adds that pop up. Or expand when accidentally you roll over them. Cause how often do you actually want to look at them?

6. What is your favourite language?
Hm...I guess English, since it's the only one I can really use. I also like Latin, Spanish, German, and Elvish.

7. Do you have a special place in your house?
My room is kind of my special place, but I haven't been spending as much time there lately. I have to clean my desk and keep it clean, then maybe I'll be there more.

8. Do you sleep on your back, on your side, on your front, or do you turn around a lot?
Mostly my front, but I once in a while I try to change...usually unsuccessfully.

9.  Do you a song that reminds you of a time of your life that you wish you could go back to?
This is random, but once in a while the Wii Sports theme will take me back to when we were first playing it, under our cousin's guidance. It was fun and peaceful. TV themes can also take me back, but I'm not sure if there are any times I want to go back to - each time has had it's joys and sorrows.

10. Do you have one movie that you really hate? If so, what it is it and why?
I don't think so...not that I can think of anyway.

11. What is your favorite song at the moment?
As of right now (this changes every few days), Guilty Love by the Gavinners. From Ace Attorney (sorry, maybe I'll stop talking about that someday!).

I really appreciate the awards and tag, especially when my blog is quiet. Thanks everyone!

Have a great weekend all, and may the Lord be with you!

LotR Awards (and a guest post!)

Rebecca at Just me... gave me these awesome LotR awards!  Thanks so much Rebecca!

And now the questions that come with them!

1) Who is your favorite LOTR character and why?
Sam.  He's so loyal to Frodo, and I love that although he's in this huge world, fighting battles and facing dangers that most men would not see in their lifetimes, he stays who he is and doesn't lose his simple Hobbit self.

2) If you were in Middle Earth, what species would you be?
Probably a human, but otherwise a Hobbit!  I love their unique traits and charming lifestyle.   Plus I'm short.

3) If you were in Middle Earth where would you be from? Would you be from the Lothlorian Forest? Or maybe the great hall of Rohan? Where would your home be?
Again, with the Hobbits in the Shire!  It's so pretty and not too dangerous.  But I'd want to visit Rivendell sometime!

I give these awards to The Director at Castles, Quills, and Cameras, and any other LotR fans!

Also, on Friday I wrote a guest post on Sophia's blog, Life and Times of a Geek.  Go check it out!

Hope you all have a great week, and may the Lord be with you!
